However, a few of the actresses of 90’s gratefully accepted the acting by profession after their marriage. And, most of the famous actresses decided to drop their acting career after marriage. 1) Karishma Kapoor

Karisma Kapoor was one of the leading actresses in the Kapoor’s Family to enter into the showbiz and made a name for herself. Her love and charming looks made her one of the most notable stars of the ’90s. However, she decided to take a backseat after her knot to a Delhi-based industrialist Sunjay Kapur in 2003. Sadly, their life ended in a divorce in 2016.


She made a comeback as a lead actress in Vikram Bhatt’s ‘Dangerous Ishhq’ (2012), but since then she hasn’t been seen on the big screen.

2) Twinkle Khanna

She chose to take a back seat to focus on her family and other ventures.

4) Meenakshi Sheshadri

At the age of 17, Meenakshi Sheshadri won the title Miss India and got awards for her stunning acting in the movies such as Damini, Ghatak, Jurm and more. Her dancing-cum-actor ability made her one of the prominent stars in the ‘80s and early ‘90s. However, when she reached the crest of success in her acting career, she decided to knot with Harish Mysore, an investment banker. She then took a backseat to focus on her family and other activities.

5) Amrita Singh

She was strong. She was lively. She was active. She was the sole heroine of her acting-time to play mellow roles and stood against the side of its restriction. Apparently, in 1991, when she was at the crest of her career, she married to the prince of Pataudi, Saif Ali Khan, who is 12 years younger than her. The couple had two children – Sara and Ibrahim. Since then, she took a backseat to focus on her family, but sadly, their marriage ended in divorce later in 2004.
