Here’s how to login to your Microsoft account without using a password:
Step 1: Install Microsoft Authenticator App from Playstore or Appstore
Microsoft Authenticator app helps to sign-in to a Microsoft account without a password. Download and Install the App from Playstore for the Android smartphones, whereas for iOS phones find it on the App Store.
Step 2: Add Outlook/Hotmail account to the Microsoft Authenticator app
Add Microsoft account to the Authenticator app, where it asks for permission to both, from account & phone ends. Click yes to both requests. Further, the Phone instructs not to accept the pop-up due to security reasons, but proceed with “Yes”.
Step 3: Sign-on to Microsoft Account without a password
Now, Sign-on to Microsoft Account without a password. Just enter the email on the Microsoft App or on any other PC, and as a result, it asks for the password, look out for the option “Use the Microsoft Authenticator App instead”. Approve the message that will ask on the Smartphone and the Microsoft account wherever tried (PC or the same Smartphone) will log in by the corresponding command made on the Authenticator app.
Note: The highlighted option will only display if the authentication for the email ID is success
Step: Enter PIN or Use fingerprint scanner
Depending on security setup, the Smartphone may request to enter the PIN or use the fingerprint scanner on the Smartphone, after which the Microsoft account sign-ins. We have attached both the screenshots below.
